Grade 8 American History
REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS - DUE DATES FOR CHAPTER 13 - Wednesday Feb. 29 for periods 1, 8, 3 and 5 and Thursday for period 2.
Day 1 - Continue work on the Chapter 13 Assignments and assign Atlas 27 - "Immigrants and Runaway Slaves."
Day 2 - View " Fighting for Freedom" and do the assignment in class.
Day 3 - Chapter 13 and the Atlas 27 assignment are due. The Chapter 14 assignment will be given to the students. Due dates are as follows - Chapter 14 will be due Tuesday March 6 for periods 2, 3 and 5 and Wednesday March 7 for periods 1 and 8.
Day 4 - "Division" -The Beginning of the American Civil War

Day 1- Work on Lesson 22.
Day 2 - Lesson 22 due. Bible Game Day today

REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS - LAST WEEK'S ASSIGNMENT - "CONESTOGA WAGON THRU EARLY RAILROADS" IS DUE THURSDAY FEB. 23 FOR PERIOD 5 AND FRIDAY FEB. 24 FOR PERIODS 1, 2, 3 AND 8.
Day 1 - Assign Chapter 12 Summary and Atlas 26 "West Across the Rockies." Due dates are as follows- Thursday Feb. 23 for period 5 and Friday Feb. 24 for periods 1, 2, 3 and 8. No test for Chapter 12.
Day 2 - Go over Chapter 11 and continue working on Chapter 12.
Days 3 and 4 - Presidents Van Buren, Harrison, Tyler and Polk DVD and assignment.
Grade 7 Religion
Day 1 - Collect Lesson 21. We are going to write our own Quiz in class. Bring art materials for tomorrow.
Day 2 - Do pictures of the Crucifixion.
Day 3 - Work on Lesson 22.

Grade 8 - American History - REMNDER TO ALL STUDENTS - Due dates for Chapter 11 Summary assignment, worksheets and Andrew Jackson Notes are Thursday Feb. 16 for Period 5 and Friday Feb. 17 for Periods 1, 2, 3 and 8.
Days 1 and 2 - We will go over some assignments in class and start "How the west Was Won."
Day 3 - give each student a copy of the xerox assignment on the "Westward Movement and Transportation in America." Due dates will be Thursday Feb. 24 for periods 1,2,8 and 5 and Friday Feb. 25 for period 3.
Day 4 - Continue Day 3 work.

Day 1 - Lesson 20 is due. The students will take their Memory Verse Quiz.
Day 2 - Assign Lesson 21 "Dig Deeper" and Review Questions. Lesson 21 will be due Friday Feb. 17.
Days 3 and 4 - Continue Lesson 21 and Ben Hur. Lesson 21 due day 4.

Grade 8 - American History -Monday and Friday are both disrupted school days - Monday for inservice and Friday for the Choral Festival and the Life House Clara Barton trip. Some classes will meet twice this week and some will meet three times. We will be doing the following in class -View a DVD on Andrew Jackson, assign the notes on Jackson and the ten question "Write Your Own Quiz." The due dates for the quiz will be Monday Feb. 13 for periods 1, 2, 3 and 5 and Tuesday Feb. 14 for period 8. All students will receive the Chapter 11 summary and workbook pages and which will be due Thursday Feb. 16 for period 5 and Friday Feb. 17 for periods 1, 2, 3 and 8.

Day 1 - "The Lewis and Clark Expedition" DVD with Quiz - Students will hand in the two maps on the expedition.
Day 2 - Go over Chapter 8 Summary. Do Lecture notes on the "First Half of the 19th Century" with an in class assignment. Finish the Lewis and Clark assignment.
Day 3 - Do the Chapter 9 Summary assignment in class.
Day 4 - Prepare and Review for the Map Test.
