WEEK 38 - June 1-4 The schedule is different this week due to practices, rehearsals and graduation. In class we will be finishing World War II and the Holocaust. We will also be collecting textbooks. Have a great summer break and enjoy High School. God Bless each and every one of you. Mrs. Brink

Week 37 - May 26-29 Day 1 - Atlas 45-47 Due for ALL classes. We will spend the week finishing World War II and of course Thursday, we are going to Disneyland. Students may begin turning in their books if they wish this week.

Week 36 - May 18-22 REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS - Chapter 26 Textbook and Xerox Review Assignments are due Tuesday May 19. Your Chapter 26 Test is on May 19. Use your Study Guide to prepare. Day 1 - Continue World War II. Day 2 - Chapter 26 Test. Day 3 - Atlas 45-47 in class. You may take home what you cannot finish and bring it back on the next class meeting. Day 4 - Atlas 45-47 due. Go over Chapter 26 materials in class.

Week 35 - May 11-15 REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS - TEST Date Tuesday May 19 for Chapter 26 World War II. Tuesday May 19 is also the due date for the Chapter 26 Textbook and Review Assignment. ALL students have a Study Guide to help them to prepare for the Test. If they are familiar with the Study Guide, they will do well on the Test. Day 1 -Assign Review Xerox and Study Guide. See above. Continue the "Doolittle Raid." Days 2, 3 and 4 - World War II in class, films - notes discussions.

Week 32 - April 20-24 REMINDER - Chapter 25 Summary Sentences and Summary questions for Chapters 24 and 25 will be due Tuesday April 28 for all classes. Day 1 - The 1920's - "Boom" with an in class assignment. Day 2 - Lecture notes on the 1920's - Assign "The Age of Progress" with 7 questions due the next class meeting. Day 3 - "Age of Progress" due. "Bust" - the 1930's with an in class assignment. Day 4 - "The CCC and the Great Depression" with an in class assignment. Assign Great Depression Xerox and Atlas 43. Week 31 - April 13-17 Day 1 - Chapter 23 Textbook assignment, Chapter 23 Review Xerox and the "War to End All Wars" are due today. Students will be given the Chapter 23 Essay Test. They may begin it in class and take it home to complete. It is open book and will be due on their next class meeting. Day 2 - Collect and go over the Chapter 23 Essay text. Assign Chapters 24 and 25 Summaries and questions. The Chapter 24 Summary Questions will be due Monday April 20 for Periods 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and Tuesday April 21 for Period 8. Chapter 25 Summary sentences and the Questions for the Chapter 24 and 25 Summaries will be due Tuesday April 28. Days 3 and 4 - We will finish World War I with "The American Experience" and an in-class assignment.

Week 22 - Feb. 2-6 This is a week with two major disruptions - Wednesday for testing and Friday for the choir festival. All students will receive Chapter 14 Summary and Questions and Atlas 28 along with Chapter 15 Summary and Questions and Atlas 29. We will work on these in class. The students will also view a film about the Abolitionists and the coming of the Civil War. Due Dates for the Chapter 14 and 15 work will be Monday Feb. 9 for Periods 2,3,4,5 and 6 and Tuesday for Period 8. If problems arise with the schedule and due dates I will make further adjustments.

Week 21 - American History REMINDER- U.S. Map Test Tuesday Jan. 27 - On your first class meeting after the Test, be prepared to turn in your State Flash Cards and your Map. Day 1- "Division" with an in-class assignment. Day 2 - U.S. Map Test Day 3 - Collect Flash cards and Maps and Chapter 11 Summary sentences and questions. Assign Chapter 12 Summary sentences. We will work on them in class. Due next class meeting. Day 4- Collect 12 Summary Sentences.. Assign Chapter 13 Summary Sentences and Questions. We will work on them in class. They will be due Monday Feb. 2 for Periods 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and Tuesday Feb. 3 for Period 8.

All students will need to know their weight and their legal name as it should appear on their diploma. 2nd REMINDER - U.S. Map Test will be Tuesday Jan. 27. Day 1 - Go over Chapter 8.
