Week 37 - May 26-29 Day 1 - Atlas 45-47 Due for ALL classes. We will spend the week finishing World War II and of course Thursday, we are going to Disneyland. Students may begin turning in their books if they wish this week.

Week 36 - May 18-22 REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS - Chapter 26 Textbook and Xerox Review Assignments are due Tuesday May 19. Your Chapter 26 Test is on May 19. Use your Study Guide to prepare. Day 1 - Continue World War II. Day 2 - Chapter 26 Test. Day 3 - Atlas 45-47 in class. You may take home what you cannot finish and bring it back on the next class meeting. Day 4 - Atlas 45-47 due. Go over Chapter 26 materials in class.

Week 35 - May 11-15 REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS - TEST Date Tuesday May 19 for Chapter 26 World War II. Tuesday May 19 is also the due date for the Chapter 26 Textbook and Review Assignment. ALL students have a Study Guide to help them to prepare for the Test. If they are familiar with the Study Guide, they will do well on the Test. Day 1 -Assign Review Xerox and Study Guide. See above. Continue the "Doolittle Raid." Days 2, 3 and 4 - World War II in class, films - notes discussions.

Week 34 - May 4-8 Day 1 - Atlas 43 and Review Xerox 25 due today - Assign Chapter 26 Summary Sentences and Questions. Due Dates are Thursday May 7 for Periods 8, 4. 5 and 6 and Friday May 8 for periods 2 and 3. Continue World War II. Day 2 - Assign Chapter 26 Textbook Assignment - Due Date Tuesday May 19 for all classes. Test on the due date. Days 3 and 4 - Continue World War II

Week 33 April 28-May 1 REMINDER - Atlas 45 and Chapter 25 Review Xerox are due Monday May 4 for Periods 2, 3, 4 5 and 6 and Tuesday May 5 for Period 8. Day 1 - Collect Chapter 25 Summary Sentences and Summary Questions for Chapters 24 and 25. Continue Great Depression and Seabiscuit. Day 2 - Assign Atlas 45 and Chapter 25 Review Xerox. Continue Seabiscuit and the Great Depression Day 3 - Same as Day 2.

Week 32 - April 20-24 REMINDER - Chapter 25 Summary Sentences and Summary questions for Chapters 24 and 25 will be due Tuesday April 28 for all classes. Day 1 - The 1920's - "Boom" with an in class assignment. Day 2 - Lecture notes on the 1920's - Assign "The Age of Progress" with 7 questions due the next class meeting. Day 3 - "Age of Progress" due. "Bust" - the 1930's with an in class assignment. Day 4 - "The CCC and the Great Depression" with an in class assignment. Assign Great Depression Xerox and Atlas 43. Due dates Wednesday April 29 for Periods 8, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and Thursday April 30 for Period 2.

Week 31 - April 13-17 Day 1 - Chapter 23 Textbook assignment, Chapter 23 Review Xerox and the "War to End All Wars" are due today. Students will be given the Chapter 23 Essay Test. They may begin it in class and take it home to complete. It is open book and will be due on their next class meeting. Day 2 - Collect and go over the Chapter 23 Essay text. Assign Chapters 24 and 25 Summaries and questions. The Chapter 24 Summary Questions will be due Monday April 20 for Periods 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and Tuesday April 21 for Period 8. Chapter 25 Summary sentences and the Questions for the Chapter 24 and 25 Summaries will be due Tuesday April 28. Days 3 and 4 - We will finish World War I with "The American Experience" and an in-class assignment.

Week 30 - April 6-10 Mrs. Brink - American History DUE DATE CHANGE FOR CHAPTER 23 TEXTBOOK ASSIGNMENT FOR ALL CLAASSES NEW DATES - Monday April 13 for Periods 2,3,4, 5 and 6 and Tuesday April 14 for Period 8. Days 1 and 2 - "Trial By Fire" World War I with a an in-class assignment. Days 3 and 4 - Work on Chapter 23 Textbook Assignment and Review. The Review will be due the same day as Chapter 23 Textbook.

Due Dates Wednesday April 1 for Periods 3, 4, 5 and 6. and Thursday April 2 for Periods 2 and 8. Day 2 - Assign the Chapter 23 Textbook Assignment. Assign Atlas 37-39 - Due date Tuesday March 31 for all classes. Day 3 - Lecture Notes - "Lighting Out for the Territories" with an in-class Assignment. WEEK 27 - March 9-13 American History Day 1 - The Chapter 18 Textbook Assignment is due. Students will take the Chapter 18 Open Book Test. Students will also receive Atlas 33 which will be due the last class meeting of this week. Day 2 - "The Farmers Frontier" notes and assignment. Due dates Monday March 16 for Periods 2,3,4,5and 6 and Tuesday March 17 for Period 8. Days 3 and 4 - Continue "Searchers" and "Farmers Frontier."

Continue introduction of the Civil War. Day 2 - Collect Chapter 14 and 15 assignments. View the "Civil War in America" with an in class assignment. Day 3 - Assign the Chapter 16 Textbook assignment. Due dates are Thursday Feb. 19 for Periods 4, 5 and 6 and Friday Feb. 20 for Periods 2, 3 and 8. Day 4 - Begin the "Friendly Persuasion" with assignment.

Week 22 - Feb. 2-6 This is a week with two major disruptions - Wednesday for testing and Friday for the choir festival. All students will receive Chapter 14 Summary and Questions and Atlas 28 along with Chapter 15 Summary and Questions and Atlas 29. We will work on these in class. The students will also view a film about the Abolitionists and the coming of the Civil War. Due Dates for the Chapter 14 and 15 work will be Monday Feb. 9 for Periods 2,3,4,5 and 6 and Tuesday for Period 8. If problems arise with the schedule and due dates I will make further adjustments.

Week 21 - American History REMINDER- U.S. Map Test Tuesday Jan. 27 - On your first class meeting after the Test, be prepared to turn in your State Flash Cards and your Map. Day 1- "Division" with an in-class assignment. Day 2 - U.S. Map Test Day 3 - Collect Flash cards and Maps and Chapter 11 Summary sentences and questions. Assign Chapter 12 Summary sentences. We will work on them in class. Due next class meeting. Day 4- Collect 12 Summary Sentences.. Assign Chapter 13 Summary Sentences and Questions. We will work on them in class. They will be due Monday Feb. 2 for Periods 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and Tuesday Feb. 3 for Period 8.

Week 19 Jan. 12-16 8th Grade American History REMINDER - Tuesday January 13 - We will be doing Cap and Gown measurements and name verification for graduation in class today. All students will need to know their weight and their legal name as it should appear on their diploma. 2nd REMINDER - U.S. Map Test will be Tuesday Jan. 27. Day 1 - Go over Chapter 8. Week 18 Jan. 5-9 2015 REMINDER - The Map Test is Tuesday January 27.. You need to know the location of all states and capitals. You need to know the correct spelling of each one and the year each state entered the Union. Day 1- Assign Chapter 8 Summary sentences and questions. Summary Sentences due Day 2 of this week. Summary questions due Day 4. View brief biography of Thomas Jefferson. Day 2 - The Louisiana Purchase and an in - class assignment. Day 3 - Work on Atlas 20 and 21 due next class meeting. Day 4- The Lewis and Clark expedition with an in-class assignment.
